Welcome to Gothenburg

After 16 years it is time for EFTF to return to Sweden and Gothenburg. Since then the conference has grown into an even more popular and established meeting place for the time and frequency scientific community. It is a forum focused on the scientific progress from interaction between researchers and innovators, setting a value in participation from all over the globe.

In the middle of May is a wonderful time of the year in Gothenburg. The spring should have arrived, and we anticipate sun and warm weather, even though “warm” in Gothenburg means 20 degrees C. Mark the dates in your calendar and stay posted.

EFTF 2028 in Gothenburg is organized by RISE Research Institutes of Sweden in collaboration with Chalmers University of Technology. The conference will be in Svenska Mässan close to the city center, with several hotels within walking distance.

Don´t miss the opportunity to submit an abstract for the conference! Authors from academia, industry, and research institutes are invited to submit an abstract.

Gothenburg is Sweden’s second-largest city, set on the country’s rugged west coast where the Göta älv river meets the sea. It has a relaxed, maritime vibe, with canals, leafy boulevards, and a thriving café culture. The city is known for its friendly atmosphere, fresh seafood, and easy access to a stunning archipelago of rocky islands just a short ferry ride away.

Visitors are charmed by the Haga district, famous for its cobblestone streets and oversized cinnamon buns, there are also attractions like Liseberg, one of Scandinavia’s most popular amusement parks. Art lovers can explore the Gothenburg Museum of Art, while food enthusiasts will find everything from Michelin-star dining to bustling fish markets—making Gothenburg a city that’s both easygoing and full of character.
